Life Events
The Christian Church marks important points in our lives with special services, such as Baptism, Confirmation, Marriage, and Confession (sometimes called the ‘sacrament of reconciliation). These services are called ‘sacraments’, because during these services, the actions of the priest or bishop confer God’s grace upon the individual to help them in their pilgrimage through life.
Each year at Wymondham Abbey, hundreds of Baptisms, Weddings, and Funerals take place, as well as Confirmations. It is our privilege to help people on their Christian journey, and to enable them to mark stages on this journey with services held at the Abbey.
